Blood for Freedom!

The protests in Thailand’s capital Bangkok of the opposition party against Prime Minister Abhisit Vejjajiva and his dictatorship continued. 150.000 demonstrating people wearing the red shirts of opposition gathered in Bangkok in order to revolt against the military cub 2006, which caused no blood shedding, but poverty and non-existing rights within this leadership.

Thousands of virulently opponents of the governance lined up for blood donation. Gallons of blood were collected in order to be spilled out in front of the prime minister’s official residence and the American embassy.

What a symbol, what an incredible idea, who was the brain that came up with it? What pride; what a message? When I saw the pictures of Bangkok and the faces of these people how their blood is stirred up. What kind of people do they have to be? What kind of pride and dignity, what love for their country? I really have difficulties expressing what I feel, it just curdles my blood. What does this country give these people no matter what financial back-ground, no matter what they are, how old or how intellectual, they demonstrate giving their blood!!! Bloody hell, we can not even raise the blood needed for blood-transfusions and these people poured it on the streets for their country. My God! Where are we, what countries are we living in? How come these people are so proud of their country and how come most of us are not? Would we be trying to squeeze blood out of a stone? Many people might think it is useless to shed blood when they spill it on the streets to prove a point. They could have donated that blood for something useful. The people thinking like that please stop reading now and come back later when this sign started to make you think differently.

On the news papers of today there was an article on this demonstration saying how many people, medical staff, were needed in order to disinfect the streets because the donators could have been infected with any deceases. I don’t even want to know who that person writing the article was. This person is one of those that are trying to catch attention with the most uninteresting part of the entire protest. Well done! Sadly enough he didn’t write how many days the Prime Minister has toRed-shirt abstain from a medium cooked egg in the morning but most likely this will be the shocker for tomorrow.

The bravest, most straight and powerful demonstration of the will to die for your country ever seen! The best way to make a point clear and the most courageous way of putting it! I bow in front of these people, I pull my hat and I am amazed by their decisiveness. They gave their blood for a better reason than any reason could be. They gave it for freedom, they gave it for their rights, and they gave it for their future and the future of their country. They gave it for their flesh and blood. They gave for their nation! They gave it as a symbol and you have to be blind in order to oversee it! Cold blooded people need powerful and strong signs that are NOT inapprehensible. Even if I sat down and think for hours no adequate, no comparable way of signalling would come to my mind.

Thank to those great brains, thank to each and every blood donator, thank each and every nurse taking it and thank those that poured on the ground. This is a bloody respectable activity and it is absolutely unique!

STAND UP FOR YOUR RIGHTS AND LET OTHERS JOIN YOU. YOU ARE NOT ALONE!
